It describes the lives lost and the lives deeply affected by the bombing of Pearl Harbor and Hiroshima, Japan. It contains a bunch of poems in the form of a story showing the emotions of the people and the tragedy World War II brought to them. At the end it emphasizes the hope for a good future and shows how people come together through the bad times and they become closer together.
