This past week we visited the Kindergarten classes at Pope John and Elgin Public Schools. We read the book called ‘Twas the Night Before Thanksgiving by Dav Pilkey. Right before Thanksgiving, a group of children take a field trip to a turkey farm. They meet Farmer Mack Nuggett and the turkeys. The children and turkeys have lots of giggles and gobbles until they find out their fate. Fortunately for the turkeys there is a happy ending. Stop by and check it out. We are reminded that there is much to be thankful for.
