We\u2019re excited to be part of this year\u2019s STEM Fest\u2014a celebration of innovation, creativity, and leadership in science, technology, engineering, and math! This year is especially meaningful as we recognize the National Science Foundation\u2019s 75th Anniversary. Our local STEM Fest will be an off-site program held at the Central Community College \u2013 Holdrege Campus, and we\u2019re so thankful to them for partnering with us and providing space for this special event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Teens 5th-12th grade are invited to join us from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM (please note the program will begin promptly at 5:00 PM) for a live Zoom session with Elizabeth Contreras, a Senior Lab Scientist on the Drilling Technology Team at the Aramco Research Center in Houston. Elizabeth will be sharing her experiences and insights into the world of energy research and careers in STEM.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Thanks to STEM Next and the National Science Foundation, we\u2019ll also have hands-on activity kits available to go along with the program, and food will be provided for all attendees.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is an off-site program. All participants must have a parent or guardian sign a waiver. Waivers must be turned in to the library no later than May 1st in order to attend. If registering online, Sierra will email you a waiver to fill out. If registering in person, you can get a waiver from the front desk.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
