We’re Back!!!
The 11th Annual Jigsaw Puzzle Tournament, sponsored by the Friends of the Library, will take place at 1:30 pm on Saturday, February 5th at the Lied Imperial Public Library. Come join in the fun and a little friendly competition.
The jigsaw puzzle competition consists of teams that compete against one another putting a puzzle together. A three-hour time limit is given. Whoever completes their puzzle first wins! You may compete as a team of two or four, each team in a division receives the same puzzle: 500 pieces for the two person teams, 1000 pieces for the four person teams. No one is allowed to see the puzzle until the timer begins. You may bring baking sheets, spatulas, trays, etc. if you wish. Whoever finishes first is declared the winner in each division. In the event that time is up and puzzles are not completed the remaining pieces are counted to determine the winner.
Registration is required by 10:00 am, Tuesday, January 25th so that we may order the puzzles. There is a $10.00 per person entry fee to cover the cost of the puzzles; if there are funds remaining, they go to the Friends of the Library for library improvement.
Stop in to register your team today. Registration forms can also be printed here.
The library usually has puzzles available on various tables, so stop in to practice, pass the time, or just relax for a while.
