Applying for a Library Card
- Library cards are free of charge to Imperial City Residents. Those living outside of the city taxing authority are charged an annual fee for a card.
- Parents or guardians must accompany children applying for library cards.
- A photo ID and proof of address are required of all applying for a card.
- current bank statement
- current utility bill
- current telephone bill
- current cable bill
- mortgage payment coupon/agreement
- lease agreement (six month minimum)
- payroll check (with printed address)
- New card holders will be limited to four (4) items at one time for the first year.
- Fines for books and audio books are $.10 per day and $1.00 is charged for VHS tapes not rewound.
- Clients may NOT check out materials on a card other than their own.
- Each card holder is responsible for all materials borrowed and all fines or fees accrued on his or her account.
- Videos, whether VHS or DVD, can only be checked out on adult cards. Written permission from a parent or guardian is needed for children to check out these materials.
