Wierdly, I only believed in the authenticity of the protagonist about 50% of the time. When Virgil is musing over his family and home, it feels very real. However, when he is referring to his job as an enforcer, he sometimes seems more like a caricature.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<\/figure>\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-media-text alignwide is-stacked-on-mobile\">\n<figure class=\"wp-block-media-text__media\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-2603\" src=\"https:\/\/libraries.ne.gov\/loupcity\/files\/2020\/11\/81SAMay7eKL._AC_UY218_ML3_.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"84\" height=\"127\" \/><\/figure>\n<div class=\"wp-block-media-text__content\">\n<figure class=\"wp-block-table\">\n<table>\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td>What is it like to be a teenage immigrant to the United States? Leaving behind your friends and all that you know to move to a country with different customs and a different language. The first short nine chapters are written in prose. Following a critical event, the story is told in verse with imaginative formatting.
