Our Mission:
The mission of the Meadow Grove Public Library is to provide each individual with equal and adequate access to informational resources. Including materials, services, programs and technology It is the goal of this library to achieve this responsibility within the limits of it’s personnel and budget.
Our History:
The Meadow Grove Public Library first opened for business in 1952 in the old city hall. Members of the Sorosis had started the project rolling. The original book collection was built around the personal library of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Warrick, Sr. Nine area clubs elected a Library Board, and initially club members took turns as librarian.
In 1958 the Village Board purchased the library’s current home, which had been the office of Dr. Kindred, Meadow Grove’s well-known early physician.
Since its beginning the library has been continually improved and expanded and the building itself has been upgraded.
Patrons can check out books, magazines, videos, puzzles and audio books. There are computers available for patron use along with printers. A copy machine is also available to the public for copies as is a fax machine for their faxing needs.
The newest service the library provides is an Accu-Cut machine and dies.
