In honor of Read Aloud Nebraska month Ponca Carnegie Library will be hosting a Family PJ Party on Monday, November 17th at 6:30 PM in the library. Families are invited to don their sleeping togs, grab a stuffed animal or two (and maybe even a sleeping bag) and head out to the library. Together, families will read an assortment of new books provided to the library by Friends of Ponca Carnegie Library and a grant from The Libri Foundation. Students from the Ponca High School chapter of The National Honor Society will be on hand to facilitate the evening.

Hannah’s Battle book signing

Ponca’s newest author, Blane J. Brummond, will be at Ponca Carnegie Library at 10 AM on Saturday, October 18th to talk about his recently published book, Hannah’s Battle and to sell ($10)and sign books. Set at Ponca State Park, the book follows Hannah and her father through an adventure in the woods in which Hannah must summon all the courage she can find. Spider cookies will be served!!
