Fall Programming Begins in September

Summer reading decorations are put away, we’ve found the workroom counter and caught up on our “to-do” list. Summer is over and we are ready for some fall programming! Remember, we have book clubs meeting on the first and third Tuesdays of the month at 7 pm in the library meeting room, stop in and join the discussion. Genealogy club meets the last Tuesday of the month at 7 pm and Preschool Story Hour is held the third Thursday of the month at 10:30 am.

In addition to these regular activities we will have a Brown Bag Lunch on September 11 at 12 pm. Dorinda Brown will be sharing her Iraq experience as a Nation Guard MP. On September 22, Bob Greenwall and Monica Tidyman will be teaching an Excel class at 2 pm and again at 6 pm. This class will include hints and tips on how to use more Excel more fully. Lego’s at the Library will be held on September 25 at 1 pm for children ages 8 and up.

New releases this week include Louise Penny’s “The Nature of the Beast” and “Prince Fly Guy” by Tedd Arnold. We’ve also purchased the next three books in the “Soul Surfer” series. “Storm”, “Crunch” and “Burned” will be on the shelves soon. New DVD’s include the complete first season of “Longmire”, “Home”, and Disney’s “Descendants.”
