Intellectual freedom is the basis of democracy and is the core concept upon which libraries are built.<\/span><\/h4>\n<h4 class=\"page-header\"><span style=\"color: #000000\"> The Superior Public Library follows\u00a0 The Library Bill of Rights that gives all people the right to read what the want, and that\u00a0 libraries should protect challenge censorship. \u00a0 <\/span><\/h4>\n<h4 class=\"page-header\"><span style=\"color: #000000\">Sept. 22nd &#8211; 28th is Banned Books Week.\u00a0 In 2018, the ALA Office for Intellectual Freedom (OIF) tracked 347 challenges to library, school, and university materials and services.
