Tekamah Public Library proudly hosts an annual Summer Reading Program. The 2022 Summer Reading Program will start in June.
Who can participate?
Anyone! Our program is accessible to all ages, from Pre-K to adult.
How does it work?
Participants will keep track of their reading. Participants are then entered into drawings for prizes. More specific details will be announced soon. Last year, we gave away three Kindle Fire tablets as grand prizes!
Why should my child participate?
Experts agree that reading to your child for as little as 10-15 minutes a day can help strengthen their cognitive, social, and emotional development. Fostering a love for reading early in life is a wonderful gift you can give your child. For more info, check out this article.
How do I sign up?
Starting May 2022, participants can sign up by coming in to the library.
Can I ask another question?
Sure! Any specific questions or comments can be directed to the library director. You can contact her by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org or calling (402) 374-2453.
End of Summer Reading
All good things must come to an end! This year, the Summer Reading Program had over 60 participants! WOW!
A huge thank you to everyone who came into the library and played reading BINGO with us and made this summer a success! We hope you enjoyed it as much as we did!
