{"id":65,"date":"2010-04-29T13:05:15","date_gmt":"2010-04-29T18:05:15","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/libraries.ne.gov\/trls\/?page_id=65"},"modified":"2026-04-14T09:49:10","modified_gmt":"2026-04-14T14:49:10","slug":"services","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/libraries.ne.gov\/trls\/services\/","title":{"rendered":"Services"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The Three Rivers Library System offers a variety of services to its member libraries, including:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\">|<a href=\"#consulting\"> Consulting<\/a> | <a href=\"#conted\">Continuing Education<\/a> |<br><a href=\"http:\/\/libraries.ne.gov\/trls\/services\/trls-newsletter\/\">Newsletter<\/a><\/h5>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">Consulting<\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The Three Rivers Library System offers professional consulting to its member libraries via phone, email and in person.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Examples of consulting services offered:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>\u00a0On-site training for library staff on a variety of topics including strategic planning, public library accreditation, trustee\/board certification, public librarian certification, children and young adult services, technology, library personnel management<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u00a0Attendance at a library\u2019s board meeting to discuss library-related issues and concerns including accreditation and certification<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u00a0Meetings with new directors to become familiar with TRLS services and orientation to the roles and responsibilities of the position<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u00a0Providing samples of policies, reports, long range plans, etc.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u00a0Providing information on library accreditation, state statutes, funding, or library statistics<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u00a0Providing contact information for people involved in library-related issues at a regional and state level<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u00a0Helping with grant applications<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Please contact our office if you would like to schedule a meeting or if you would like more information on how TRLS can support your library.<a name=\"conted\"><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">Continuing Education<\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Throughout the year, the Three Rivers Library System will offer a variety of training and continuing education opportunities.&nbsp; Topics will include accreditation and certification, technology, automation, OverDrive, and library services for multicultural\/diverse populations. Details about training opportunities are being drafted but will likely include a Summer Reading Program workshop, school library training day, annual meeting with continuing education sessions, and a Youth Services retreat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>TRLS also partners with the other Nebraska Regional Library Systems (NRLS), Nebraska Library Commission (NLC), Nebraska Library Association (NLA) and Nebraska School Librarians Association (NSLA) to provide well-rounded programs and bring in nationally known speakers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>All continuing education events are posted on the <a href=\"http:\/\/nlc.nebraska.gov\/calendar\/\">NLC&#8217;s calendar<\/a>, in our&nbsp; newsletter, and on the TRLS email list-serv.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">Newsletter<\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The Three Rivers Library System publishes an online newsletter twelve times per year.&nbsp; The newsletter highlights item of interest to eastern Nebraska librarians as well as providing information on continuing education, grant and funding opportunities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Our current issue:<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<pre class=\"wp-block-preformatted\"><a href=\"https:\/\/libraries.ne.gov\/trls\/services\/trls-newsletter\/\">Find out current TRaiLS issue here.<\/a> \n<a href=\"http:\/\/nlc.nebraska.gov\/systems\/newsarchives.aspx\"><em>Find back issues of newsletters from all of Nebraska\u2019s Regional Library Systems here.<\/em><\/a><\/pre>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Three Rivers Library System offers a variety of services to its member libraries, including: | Consulting | Continuing Education |Newsletter Consulting The Three Rivers Library System offers professional consulting to its member libraries via phone, email and in person.
