Astronaut Training

This Space Mission Monday, July 22nd, bring your littles to the library at 10:30 for Astronaut Training! Not only will there be books and songs, but children will have the chance to earn an “Astronaut Identification Card” by completing their astronaut training: jumping, crawling, picking up “space rocks” and doing other space-related tasks!

May Third Saturday Story Time

April showers bring May flowers!This Saturday, May 18th, come to the library at 10:30 for flower-themed stories, songs, and crafts, as well as a snack!

This is the last Third-Saturday Story Time before summer programming. Activities for this age group will be every Monday at 10:30 this summer.

Third Saturday Story Time: Trees!

This Saturday, April 20th, bring your little ones to the library at 10:30 to learn about trees and celebrate Arbor Day, which is coming up next week! Story time always has books, songs, a craft, and a small snack. This month’s craft can be seen below: 3D trees!

AfterSchool is back with newspaper fun!

I’m so glad we’re back to normal AfterSchool at the library! We had lots of fun tonight with newspapers. Next week we are making t-shirt bags, so I reminded the kids tonight to bring a t-shirt if they’d like to participate in that craft!

Thursday AfterSchool is offered in partnership with Twin Rivers YMCA and is open to all area elementary school children (under age 8 with supervision). Beginning right after school, the afternoon includes a snack, homework time, programs/activities and unstructured time for reading and play. Formal programming ends before 6 p.m.
