ALERT!! – LIBRARY NEEDS YOUR RECIPES

Lied Lincoln Township Library is preparing a taste-tempting cookbook featuring favorite recipes from members of our community and friends of our library. It will be illustrated and bound and sure to be a treasure for years.

We are asking you to submit your favorite recipes so you can be included in the book. Each cookbook will contain cooking hints, recipe category tabbed dividers, a table of contents, a contributor index and special pages of interest. It will be typeset in an easy-to-read format and professionally printed and bound. Proceeds from the cookbook will help fund projects sponsored by the library. Your help in contributing recipes will ensure that the cookbook will be a success. You may submit recipes by going to: www.typensave.com and type in the user name: Virginia Lindquist179 and password: roast946 and type in your recipes. You can stop in the library and pick up a recipe form and drop it off or mail it to Lied Lincoln Township Library, PO BX H, Wausa NE 68786., or just write your recipe on a piece of paper and mail to us. Urge your friends, family,and co-workers to submit and to encourage their friends, relatives, etc., to submit recipes. The deadline for submitting recipes is February 28, 2013.

INSTRUCTIONS: Type or print clearly in ink, not pencil and place only one recipe per form. If more room is needed, use another sheet of the same size and staple together.

List all ingredients in order of use in ingredients list and directions. Include container sizes, e.g., 16-oz pkg., 24-oz. can. Keep directions in paragraph form, not in steps.

Use name of ingredients in the directions, e.g., “Combine flour and sugar.” DO NOT use statements like, “Combine first three ingredients.”

Include temperatures and cooking, chilling, baking, and/or freezing times.

Be consistent with the spelling of your name for each recipe you contribute.

Your recipes should fit into the following categories: Appetizers & Beverages Breads and Rolls Desserts Cookies and Candy Main Dishes Soups & Salads Swedish Dishes Vegetables & Side Dishes This & That

Add your name, city or town, or in honor of, or in memory of. There are two lines to do this. You may also add a note about your recipe, e.g., “This is my great grandmother’s recipe,” or “This is our family’s favorite.”
