Lied Imperial Open House & Virtual Field Trip

Come join us at the Lied Imperial Open House with Beth Falla to learn about their Sparks Grant on Friday, January 18, 2019!
Informational Meeting with Holly Woldt and Jan Jolliffe, 2:00-2:30 p.m. (Mountain time), then plan to participate in a Virtual Field Trip from 3:00-3:30p.m. (Mountain time)

Topics:
Learn about our experience with so far, including the cost, installation, cooperation between school district, community library and ESU.

We will continue the conversation about Nebraska Public Libraries—Contributing to Community Lifelong Learning.

Learn how to focus on school and library partnership, and start the discussion in your community, to help provide a faster internet speed at the library to enable Virtual Field Trip opportunities at the local library for all community members.

Discuss short-term solutions to increase internet speeds at Nebraska libraries, and how Nebraska Libraries can help to resolve the Homework Gap in rural Nebraska.

Learn detailed information about how faster internet speed is required for VFTs at the library, the benefit for the entire community offered by the library, the equipment that would be required, along with VFT Clearinghouse website.

Are Learn other grants that are currently available for libraries to apply for to assist libraries with internet speed increases.
