The Ainsworth Library Foundation Board held its quarterly meeting on February 17th at the Ainsworth Public Library. The meeting was called to order at 5:04 p.m. Five members were present for the meeting. They included Wendy Allen, Traci Ganser, Bill Lentz, Teri Soles, and Deanna Taylor. Members Marsha Fuchs and Phyllis Leach were absent. Library Director, Gail Irwin, was also present.
The minutes and treasurer’s report were approved by the Board. No bills were presented for payment.
The Gift Transaction List from November 2020 to February 2021 was shared. We had received memorials from the Ainsworth Community Schools in memory of Mrs. Shannon Sis; Mrs. Laurett Hancock, Mr. Robert Witt, and Mr. Wayne Bower. The donations were received from Mrs. Renee Adkisson and the Network for Good. Each of these gifts was greatly appreciated.
The NonProfit Corporation Biennial Report is now due to the State of Nebraska. It was moved and seconded to pay the $20 fee for this and to complete the report. All members voted in favor of.
It was noted that the Ainsworth Public Library was noted as an America’s Star Library in the December issue of Library Journal. There were thirteen libraries in Nebraska listed in this report.
The landscaping project was discussed. Work will continue in the spring and summer.
A fundraiser was discussed that will be a photo contest. Marsha Fuchs, Traci Ganser, and Bill Lentz will be on the committee for this fundraiser. They will keep us informed and up-to-date on guidelines and process for this fundraiser.
The next meeting date was set for May 19th at 5 p.m.
Since there was no further business to come before the Board, the meeting was adjourned at 5:35 p.m.
