

PBS’s new documentary by Ken Burns on the American Revolution will premiere on November 16th at 8:00-10:00 p.m. ET. on PBS, PBS.org and the PBS app. The American Revolution is a six-part, 12-hour docuseries marking the 250th anniversary of the war’s start. It explores the eight-year struggle for independence while following a diverse range of figures– from American and British soldiers and political leaders to enslaved people, civilians, and refugees. The docuseries examines the virtues, contradictions, and global impact of America’s fight for independence, shaping its lasting impact on democratic movements across the globe.
