Our Circulation Services
The Lied Battle Creek Public Library has over 20,000 books in its collection. Books are loaned out for a period of 2 weeks and are automatically renewed an additional 2 weeks. Renewals can also be done at the request of the patron.
Our eBook collection is through the Nebraska Overdrive, and can be accessed through the Libby app. There you can access eBooks from all over Nebraska.
The Library has a collection of CD Audiobooks that are available for checkout. Patrons are also able to access Audiobooks through the Nebraska Overdrive. Audiobooks are loaned out for a period of 2 weeks and are automatically renewed an additional 2 weeks. Renewals can also be done at the request of the patron.
DVD of TV Series and Movies are available at the library, featuring Family and Adult themes. Please check the rating when considering material. DVDs are available to loan for 7 days and can be renewed at the request of the patron
Blu-Rays Movies are available at the library, featuring Family and Adult themes. Please check the rating when considering material. Blu-Rays are available to loan for 7 days and can be renewed at the request of the patron.
Magazines are available at the front entrance of the library and can be checked out by our patrons. Magazines are loaned out for a period of 2 weeks and are automatically renewed an additional 2 weeks. Renewals can also be done at the request of the patron.
Newspapers are available near the front entrance of the library, but are not available for checkouts. Patrons however are granted access to the newspaper archives when on library premises.
The Lied Battle Creek Public Library has a collection of Cake Pans in various shapes and themes that are available to checkout. Make a special themed cake for any occasion!
The Lied Battle Creek Public Library has a collection of Candy Molds in various shapes and themes that are available to checkout. They can be used to make chocolate and other types of candy!
The library has a collection of Cookie Cutters in various shapes and themes that are available to checkout. They can be used to cut shapes into whatever baked goods you plan on making!
STEAM Kits are available for checkout at the library, and can be found in the kids area. They can contain books, games, and toys designed to create a learning experience for children.
Puzzles are available to the public for checkout, and can even be used on sight. There are also other games for checkout such as board games.
Currently the library possesses 2 hotspots for checkout for 21 days. Please review the WiFi Hot Spot Policy before proceeding. Hotspots are excluded from the Fine Free Policy and will be charged $2 dollars a day with a max fine of $10.
