11 Reasons Librarians Are Better Superheroes Than The Avengers

1. Librarians know how to locate every witty thing Tony Stark has said as well as every interesting or intelligent thing recorded in history.

2. Librarians are way more experienced at their jobs.

3. They have personal relationships with their communities.

4. When saving the world, they don’t destroy anything except simple minds.

5. Librarians are all about sharing.

6. Librarians don’t fight with weapons. They fight with ideas.

7. They don’t get a break.

8. The are accessible.

9. Librarians have lifted stacks of books heavier than Thor’s hammer.

10. They are inspiring.

11. They often do all of this with budget cuts.

Annual Week of Weeding

The library staff is busy weeding, weeding, weeding.  It’s our annual week of weeding older materials to make room on our shelves for new items.  What does this mean for you, our patrons?  It means many items for you to come make your own.  We have weeded in nearly all areas of the library.  (Adult fiction, non-fiction, children’s section, young adult books, and a variety of DVDs) We give our weeded items away free of charge to anyone who would like to give them a new home.  Please stop by the library to pick out any items you wish to have.
