We’re Going on a Bear Hunt! March 24, 2020 centralcity Uncategorized Communities all across the world, are doing an awesome thing for kids and families, by encouraging them to go on walks or drives, and do a #BearHunt 🐻 throughout their towns!🐻Not with a gun in the woods, but by looking at the windows of homes throughout the neighborhood. pic.twitter.com/zH9zjtIX5J— Central City Library (@CcplNe) March 24, 2020 Residents are putting stuffed animals in windows and on porches. The types of animals vary as well… from unicorns, to Big Bird!🐥Residents that don’t have stuffed animals, have been putting cheerful drawings in their windows (such as rainbows🌈 and smiley 😊 faces), for the kids and families to spot. The Bear Hunt is a great way to give adults a chance to get out and to also give kids something to look forward to (and help keep them busy).😃WE’D LOVE to SEE PHOTOS of some of the stuffed animals that you find on your Bear Hunts OR of the animals you have featured in your windows! Please post on our Facebook page, or email them to us at: cc.library.ne@gmail.comThe Bear Hunts are inspired by the book “We’re Going on a Bear Hunt” by Michael Rosen and Helen Oxenbury. To see our own Youth Librarian (Sally Bankson) reading this story, go here: https://www.facebook.com/centralcitypubliclibrary/videos/611610456088132/To see a version of the story, with music go to: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Waoa3iG3bZ4#BearHunt #commUNITY #LibrariesStrong #InThisTogether Share this:Click to share on Twitter (Opens in new window)Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window) Related Leave a comment
