5,846 libraries across the nation were evaluated for the โAmericaโs Star Librariesโ report. In this edition, there are 261 Star Libraries, each receiving three-Star, four-Star, or five-Star Designations.
The LJ Index gives an overall indication of how libraries stack up to their peers nationally. This award is based on six separate categories: physical circulation, e-circulation, library visits, program attendance, public internet computer use, Wi-Fi sessions, and e-retrievals.
