Clarkson Public Library will be hosting a quilt show over the Czech Days weekend and we need your help!  We are looking for local quilters who would like to participate in this event by allowing us to display your handiwork.  We are willing to accept quilts of any size as long as it has been made (pieced or quilted) by a local quilter.  Our definition of a local quilter is that the quilter must have ties to Clarkson (originally from here, family still local, library patron, etc.).  We have already received some enthusiastic commitments from the Silver Thread Social group and our area 4-Her’s, so please contact the library to be added to the list of items.  There is not a time line for when the quilt must have been made and this is not a contest, we would just like to recognize what our local (and usually hidden) talent has been up to in Clarkson.  Please contact Melissa at the library for more information or with questions, we would love to hear from you! Our website is getting a makeover, just like the library! Thank you so much to everyone who stopped in for our Open House today!  I did get to demo the new ADA workstation and awesome new software a little bit for a few people:)  We did also get a lot of bids on our Holiday Wreath Silent Auction – YAY! I am still working to get the photos uploaded, last week I had problems, emailed the IT guy, got 1 uploaded today and now the other 17 have error messages:(  I guess I will be emailing him again tonight, so look for the new photos tomorrow sometime! Don’t forget the Silent Auction closes this Wednesday, December 14th at 9pm.
