Campaign for Reading: Vote for Books at Hooper Public Library’s Summer Reading Program

There is still time to sign up and join the FUN at Hooper Public Library’s Summer Reading Program!  Our program this year will be held July 9th-13th and July 16th-20th.  Children who will be in Preschool – 4th grade in the upcoming school year are welcome to sign up for one or both weeks!  Times are 1:00-1:45 for Pre, K, & 1st graders and 2:00-2:45 for 2nd, 3rd and 4th graders.  Call 654-3833 if you would like to sign up but will not be able to pick up a registration form before the 9th.  We can reserve your child’s spot and have you fill out the form on the first day they attend.

At our program titled, Campaign for Reading: Vote for Books we will be learning and reading about elections & voting, we have several crafts we will be doing and have fun games to play as well.  A light snack will also be provided.  Children will get to VOTE on several different items and issues during the program using our Voting Booth and Ballot Box.

Hooper Public Library’s Summer Reading Program is made possible through funds acquired from our annual Friends of the Library Bake Sale and generous donations from local groups including Chain of Friends, G.G.C.G. and H.E.L.P.

Please take advantage of this free opportunity for your child to brush up on reading skills, interact with other children their age and have a great time in a safe environment.

We also have a book club for our young patrons age 4th grade and above, The Magic Readers will meet on July 19th at 4:00p.m.  Their selection this month is HAMSTER MAGIC by Lynne Jonell.  Feel free to join anytime!
