From now until June 1, our readers can submit a JLG bookmark entry! Four national winners will be selected from each grade range—elementary school, middle school, and high school. Pick up a bookmark template at the library and turn in completed art to the library by the end of May or sooner so we can submit them. We can only submit one entry per reader so pick your best to submit!
This year’s National Library Week theme is, “There’s More to the Story.” Start by helping your reader choose their favorite JLG book and then let them turn their story interpretation into art! Maybe they draw their favorite character, the background of an important scene, a key element, or how a story makes them feel… the possibilities are endless!
While artistic skill will be considered, the JLG judges are more interested to see what your readers have to say—let the ideas flow! Start creating, readers!
