Sweetheart Dinner Sunday March 1st

Be sure and get your tickets for the Palmyra Youth Club Sweetheart Dinner on March 1st.  Dinner will be served at 5:00, 6:00 and 7:00 P.M.  Contact Jessica @402.799.2970 to make reservations.

March 1 – Sweetheart Dinner served by the Palmyra Youth Group. Dinner served at 5:00, 6:00, or 7:00 P.M. Be sure and get your tickets early.

March 2 – Dr. Seuss Day – stop by the library and pick up your Dr. Seuss book bag.

March 4 – Free blood pressure check at the library from 5 – 6 P.M.

March 6 – Fun Fair Friday! 1:00 – 5:00 P.M. at the Palmyra Activities Center

March 8 – Daylight Savings Time begins. Spring ahead one hour.

March 9 – Book Club will meet at 1:45 P.M. today and watch the movie – Fried Green Tomatoes and then discuss how the movie differs from the book.

March 9 – Young adult author Brianna Bunn will be visiting the library at 6:30 P.M. to discuss her new book – Lives For Hire. The public is invited to attend this event.

March 15 – Story time 4:00 P.M. at the library. We will be celebrating St. Patrick’s Day so be sure and wear green.

March 16 – District OR1 preschoolers will be visiting the library today at 9:30 A.M. and at 1:30 P.M.

March 16 – Kid’s Book Club will meet from 4:00 – 5:00 P.M.

March 17 – St. Patrick’s Day

March 20 – Spring Begins!! (I hope.)

March 23 – Library will be open from 2:00 – 6:00 P.M.

March 25 – Library will be open from 2:00 – 6:00 P.M.

March 29 – Palm Sunday – the library will be closed.

March 30 – Library will be open from 2:00 – 6:00 P.M.

April 1 – Library will be open from 2:00 – 6:00 P.M.

February Calendar of Events @ the Palmyra Memorial Library

February 1 – Super Bowl Sunday – Seattle Seahawks vs. Boston Patriots

February 4 – Free blood pressure checks at the library from 5 – 6 P.M.

February 7Unadilla celebrates Groundhog Day. Enjoy lunch at the Unadilla United Methodist Church from 11:00 – 12:30 P.M.

February 9 – The Palmyra Book Club will meet at 2:00 P.M. at the library to discuss the book – The Memory of Running.

February 13 – Family/Adult Movie Night –for ages 12 and up (Younger children must be accompanied by a parent/guardian). Doors will open at 6:30 P.M. at the Palmyra Activities Center and the movie will begin at 7:00 P.M.. Please bring a lawn chair.

February 14 – Valentine’s Day & Kids Movie Night –for ages 4 – 11 at the Palmyra Activities Center. Doors will open at 6:00 P.M. We will be serving hot dogs, chips, drink and snack. (Free will donation) Parents can pick up their children at 9:00 P.M.

February 15 – Story time at the library at 4:00 P.M. Oowl miss you if you don’t come! Learn what can be found inside of an owl pellet.

February 16 – President’s Day

February 20Southeast Library System Board meeting at Wahoo.

 February 23 – Kid’s Book Club (grades 4, 5, & 6) will meet to discuss The Magic Thief from 4 – 5:00 P.M. at the library.

January 1 – Happy New Year 2015!!

January 12 – Palmyra Book Club will meet at 2:00 P.M. to discuss the book – Sandcastle Girls.

January 12 – Palmyra Memorial Library Board meeting at 6:00 P.M. at the library.

January 18 – Winter Story Time at the library at 4:00 P.M. Bring your mittens.

January 25 – Come learn the “History of Palmyra” at 2:00 P.M. at the Palmyra Activities Center. We will be showing the DVD – the “History of Palmyra” and a panel of local Palmyra residents will be available to answer questions.

Palmyra Memorial Library Book Club for Kids

Holiday Open House Sunday December 14th

The public is invited to a holiday open house at the Palmyra Memorial Library on Sunday, December 14th from 2:00 – 4:00 P.M.  There will be two very unusual holiday collections on display and you can also enjoy some Christmas cookies and punch/coffee.  Check out our collection of holiday books and DVDs.
