Our Science Kits (ages 8 years old and older) are provided by grant funding through the IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers), who believe in advancing technology for the benefit of humanity. With Science Kits for Public Libraries (SKPL) IEEE provide STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) learning to children of every race, gender, income level and for those who may live within a difficult home environment.
Science Kits are available for a two week check out for patrons with a library account in good standing. The Rock Tumbler Kit is available for a three week check out with the understanding that a patron can only check out the Rock Tumbler once every 6 months.
