Summer Reading

We are having our Summer Reading program this year. Sign up
is May 20- June 2, 2021 for children, toddler through 5th grade.
Programs start June 2nd through July 14th.
Toddlers – Wednesday mornings 9:30-10:30 AM
Preschool – 5th grade Wednesday afternoons 2:00-3:30 PM
Craft Group (4th and 5th graders) Tuesday afternoons 2:00 PM till craft is done.
For more information on any of these programs call the library.

The Innovation Studio is at the Superior Library and ready for public to use.

The studio is here and will be up and running starting Sept. 28th. We have a CNC router, laser cutter, vinyl cutter, embroidery machine, 3D printer, heat press, button maker and laminator, music kit, Lego robot, electronic kits, and a camera and green screen.

The possibilities are endless. Start thinking about Christmas, weddings, birthdays, or any other gift giving occasion. And don’t forget to make something for yourself. The only cost to you is materials that you buy from the studio. You can bring in your own materials if you want.
Once you are certified on a machine you may come and use it at anytime. We will have trainings set up or call and make arrangements.
We are requesting reservations (COVID), so we don’t have too many people waiting for the same machine, At times the room may be closed if we are working by ourselves.

You can call 402 879-4200 to make a reservation or if you have questions.
Watch this site, or our Facebook page for announcements.

The Innovation Studio is made possible by the Institute of Museum and Library Services, The Nebraska Library Commission, The Nebraska State Regional Library Systems, Nebraska Extension, and the Superior Library.

Toddler Bags at the Library

The Superior Library has 12 new toddler bags. Each bag has a different theme with 3-5 books, and one or more of flannel boards, puppets, games or anything else I found to put in them. The bags are checked out for 2 weeks.

School is Starting

Please remember to watch out for children crossing the streets and ridschool busing their bikes back and forth to school.

And don’t forget your library is a great place to get your books for “Book-it” and all that information you will need for those reports.

“The wheels on the bus go round and round,
round and round,
round and round,
the wheels on the bus go round and round
all though the town.”
