Book Sale at the Library

Stop in to the library on Saturday May, 27th from 10:00 AM – Noon and 1:30 – 5:30 PM and check out our book sale.

The book sale will continue until May 2nd  during open library hours.

There is a large number of hard back fiction, paperbacks, and children’s books this time.  Not as many non-fiction, but  come take a look.

You can’t beat the price.

The Association for Library Service to Children (ALSC), a division of the American Library Association keeps an online resource with links to exceptional websites for children.  We have added some of the recently-added sites to our children’s page.

Spring is Just Around the Corner

Spring is here and we will be looking to get outside and dig in the yard.  The Library can help you with a large selection of books and magazines to help you create a flower bed, vegetable garden,  know what tree to plant, or how to build something new for the yard. We have something for just about anything you need to know when it comes to the yard or garden. Come check us out.

We Wish You A Merry Christmas

We wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

We will be closed Dec. 24th and 25th for Christmas and we will close at 3:30 PM on Dec. 31st and be closed January 1st.

What Can Your Library Save You?

 

Have you ever wondered how much things would cost if you had to buy what you checked out? Use the calcuator on the right to estimate the value of the items checked out. It is kind of fun to do.

Black Sheep in the Family?

Have you ever been interested in family history?  We are looking at having beginner genealogy classes for anyone interested in family history.  If you are interested contact the library.  We will have classes after the first of the year if we get enough interested.  These classes will be free and are open to anyone.

E-Reader Class

On the 29th of December we will have an e-reader class for all those new owners of an e-readers. We will have some of the e-readers there to look at and we will give individual help if needed.  If interested let the library know.  We don’t have a time set yet, but we will let you know.

Computer Classes Coming Up

November 6 and 13th
Facebook and e-mail classes.  If you are interested let the library know.  We will have classses in the afternoon and evening if we have enough sign up.  There is no charge for this class.

December 29th
For all the new e reader owners we will have a class on Saturday Dec 29th.  Group class in the morning with indivual help in the afternoon.  Sign up if interested.  There is no charge for this class.

January and February
We will be having classes on Microsoft Word, Excel and Publisher.  Power Point if anyone is interested.  Call if you are interested. There is no charge for this class.

 

 

Storytime Right Around The Corner

We will be starting storytime October 24th.  Any child from 4 years through Kindergarten may sign up.  Children will enjoy stories, crafts, puppets and games.
Time :
Every Wednesday from 3:45- 4:30 PM.
No storytime during the weeks of Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years.  No storytime if the school calls a snow day.

 

Computer Classes to start October 9th

There will be 2 beginner computer classes starting on Oct 9th.   Other classes that we will be offering are Facebook/Email, Office Word, Excel, and Publisher.
After Christmas there will be a e-Book class for all those new e-Book readers.

If you have anything special you would like to learn contact the library so we can set up a class.  All classes are free of charge.
