This novel follows Coyote and her dad, Rodeo, who have lived in an old school bus for five years. Coyote wants to go home to see a park in her old neighborhood which is about to get demolished. So she devises a plan to get her dad to drive 3,600 miles back to Washington State, without him even realizing it. Over the course of thousands of miles, misfit travelers, and adventures, Coyote will learn that going home can be a hard journey.
