YES, WE HAVE E-BOOKS and AUDIOBOOKS for your digital device!
Here’s how to check them out.
All you need is your Valparaiso Public Library card number (account number). If you can’t find your card, call or stop by the library during open hours and the librarian on duty will look up the number for you.
Next, sign on to our OverDrive collection:
- Click on either the OverDrive DOWNLOAD link or the OverDrive KIDS & TEENS link in the side bar here OR go to http://nebraska.lib.overdrive.com
- Click on the Sign In link in the upper right corner of the screen.
- elect Valparaiso Public Library from the drop-down or scrolling menu.
- Type in your library card number and click “Sign In.”
Hint: Before you click “Sign In,” if you are using a public computer, clear the checked box by “Remember my login information on this device.” If you are using your own device and want to login faster next time, leave it checked.
For help on how to get started, click on the “Help” link at the top of the Nebraska OverDrive Libraries website. From the next screen, click on the “OverDrive Help” link, and on the next screen you’ll see links to “Getting Started, “eBooks,” “Audiobooks,” “Mobile app,” and “Troubleshooting.” “Getting Started” covers browsing, borrowing, and using and returning borrowed items, as well as all sorts of device-specific help, including articles for your type of device and links to videos. The drop-down menu of “Devices” at the top of the page will take you directly to help for the device you select.
The general “Help” menu also includes links to “Applications” (information about the applications used for digital media), “Library Lending Policies” (how many items you can check out, for how long), “Recommend to Library” (recommend books for the library to buy), and “Support.”
