Job Opening! Youth Services Librarian (Part-Time Position)
YOUTH SERVICES LIBRARIAN
PART-TIME POSITION
CITY OF CENTRAL CITY
The City of Central City is currently seeking candidates for the position of Youth Services Librarian.
Closing Date: 10/12/18 at 5:00pm or until the position is filled.
Salary range: $18.00-$20.00 hourly (dependent upon qualifications and experience).
Hours: 35 hours per week, including at least one evening per week.
Some Saturdays or other evening hours may occur (depending upon programs and events, etc.).
Benefits: retirement, vacation time, holidays, and sick leave.
The Central City Public Library is currently seeking a positive, creative, energetic, and enthusiastic Youth Services Librarian to provide services to children (birth through eighteen) and their families.
Qualifications: Graduation from a four-year college/university with a degree in Education, Library Science, or related field preferred. Prior experience working with children, and computer and internet skills required. Flexibility in scheduling and dependability are a must. Must be able to multitask, and have great customer service skills.
Job Environment and Physical Requirements: May be required to sit or stand for long periods of time. Must be able to reach. Must be able to lift on a frequent basis at least 10 pounds. Must occasionally be able to lift up to 30 pounds. Must be able to work in an environment that is at times very busy and hectic.
