Stop in and See Our White Table Display!

Ever since the Vietnam War, a WHITE TABLE has been set across America in mess halls and at military events to honor America’s Armed Forces, especially those missing in action and held prisoner of war. Each of the items on the table signify different things. Over the years, the โ€œtableโ€ has evolved and there are some slight differentiations that exist between the tables set by each branch of the military. The general principle, and most of the setting, is similar. Here’s our version of the #WhiteTable. We’ll have it on display for the next couple of weeks.

“The Bill of Rights and You” Pop-Up Exhibit Now on Display at CC Public Library!

We recently began hosting a new pop-up exhibition from US National Archives, THE BILL OF RIGHTS AND YOU, commemorating the 225th anniversary of the ratification of this landmark document. Learn how Americans have exercised those rights. The Bill of Rights and You co-curator Jennifer Johnson states: “The Bill of Rights represents the Founder’s vision that it would be the people, through votes, that could change the Constitution with enough consensus. And when the people desired a Bill of Rights, our first ten amendments were added to our governing charter.”
The exhibit is presented in part by AT&T, Seedlings Foundation, and the National Archives Foundation. It is brought to you by Humanities Nebraska and the Federation of State Humanities Councils. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c_wbxHmSQKc
