Programs for children who are preschoolers through fourth graders are invited to take part in the newly announced children’s library programs. We will be celebrating the love of dinosaurs the entire month of November with our Dinovember programs and in library passive activities.
Children who are four years of age (accompanied by a person who is ten years of age or older) through fourth grade are invited to our Dinosaur Movie Extravaganza on Friday, November 8 from 2:30 to 4:00. Participants will enjoy a snack and drink during the movie. Dinosaur gift bags will be distributed at the end of the program. REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED FOR THIS PROGRAM.
Preschoolers and their families have three choices for programs. Children who are three to five years old and their adult are invited to “Stories & Science” from 6:30 to 7:00 p.m. on November 4 and 18. There will be no “Stories & Science” programs on November 11 and November 25. This program includes stories and a variety of STEM activities. Children who are three to five years old and their adult are invited to “Bookworm Buddies” from 2:30 to 3:00 p.m. on November 5, 12, and 19. This program includes stories and other activities. “Alphabet Soup” is for children who are four and five years old. This program is from 10:30 to 11:00 a.m. and includes stories and other activities highlighting the alphabet letter of the week. Programs are planned for November 6, 13 and 20 .
Students who are in Kindergarten through fourth grade also have three choices for programs. Kids Klub has creative projects and other activities. This program is on November 14 from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m. and will include a dino treasure hunt, dinosaur eye craft and a game of dinosaur bingo. Lego Club is for students who are wild about Legos. This program is on November 9 from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m. Projects for this month’s program includes Lego dino builds, Picasso Tiles dinos and a Lego zip line. Kid Zone Maker Space is for students who want to discover how things work and do science experiments. This program is on November 19 from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m. Challenges for this month’s program includes a dinosaur science Lab, dino dig excavation kits and learning how to make a volcano. REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED FOR THE K – 4TH GRADE PROGRAMS.
