Bird & Wildlife Photo Exhibit coming to Hooper Public Library

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year from Hooper Public Library!  We have a great way to start off 2018.  We will be hosting a photo exhibit titled “Fenceline Photos” right here in our library for the months of January and February.

Come see 40 bird and wildlife photos captured by birdwatcher and photographer Stanley Buman of Carroll, Iowa.

Get to know the greater prairie chicken, piping plover, bufflehead, dowitcher, dickcissel and sedge wren, along with more familiar species of hawks, owl, sparrows, swallows and geese.  Most photos were taken in Iowa but a few are from pastures further west including Winnetoon, NE. and ocean coasts.

Stanley Buman, who is also passionate about restoring old tractors, is one of the founders of Agren, an agri-business firm in Carroll, Iowa.

Hooper Public Library is located at 126 N. Main St. Hooper NE. The exhibit is free and open to the public during regular open hours starting in January.

Tue-Thur. 2:00-6:00p.m. and Fri & Sat. 9:00a.m.-1:00p.m.  For more information call us at the library 402-654-3833.
