Meet Casi!

Come in and meet our new library director Casi!  She will be replacing Becky and is excited to take part in all the activities going on in the library!  She’s even got some ideas of her own that she’s ready to implement!  Saturdays at 11 will still be craft time, with movies and popcorn for the family still at 2:00 (yep, every Saturday) and Wednesdays at 1:30 will still be a special time for the adults at the library, with coffee and treats!

Community Garden: Growing Greens and Friendships

We’ve been harvesting herbs and veggies as they’re ready, and it’s always a bit more fun to harvest with a friend!  Be sure to come by, lend a weeding hand, and get a veg or two!

Veggies, Veggies, Everywhere!!

Our little Community Garden has done awesome!  Come check it out when you get your next book!

Library Report for June- Summer Reading Was A Blast!

This June was a busy month!  We had 226 kids and teens in the library this month, and 136 adults!  Everyone was very excited to have Summer Reading this month.  We received a grant from the Nebraska Library Commission that allowed us to have two interns as well.  The Summer Reading Program was open for all age groups, the youngest met Mondays at 2:00, the adults met Wednesdays at 1:30, and the tween/teen group met Fridays at 2:00.  They read, played space themed games, did book bingo, and had snacks (including astronaut ice cream)!

We also had 39 people attend Real Reptiles, a program Will Abler offers to educate others about his exotics.  Everyone had fun petting the large snake and was overjoyed at seeing the little lizard, alligator, and various other critters!

This month we issued 3 new library cards too.  We also got the Community garden up and running and it is really growing!

I (Becky) gave my notice as I plan to move and the library is excited to have a new librarian very soon.  Keep checking out our webpage and come see all the programs we offer in person.
