Help Wanted!

Rock County Public Library is seeking high school applicants for a summer intern position.  Applicants must be 15 or older.  Please ask at library for complete job description and application.  Send or drop off application along with a resume to the library by 5:30 on Monday, May 15th.

August News!

Summer Reading has come to an end!  We had a very successful summer!  We ended up with seven teens, and 38 K-6th grades.  For those that met their goal we had games and pizza at the library, 16 were able to attend.  We ended up with $130 for the Adopt-A-Reader.  This was enough raised to help 6 kids get clothes and shoes so they can attend school!  Proud of my summer readers!  The Duck Stamps are currently on display here, please take a moment to check out the great talent of these kids!  A big thanks to Evy Ost, Tom Horobik, Terri Swanson, Cheryl Arrowsmith,  Georgia Peterson, Alice Allen, Jerry Morton, and LeAnne Fox for their book donations!

Library News!

The library will be having preschool story hour starting October 8th!  If you haven’t signed your child up, please call the library.  The Adult book discussion will meet September 16th at 4:00. We have enjoyed the Duck Stamps on display at the library, if you haven’t been in to see them, do so, for they well be shipped out soon.  We had a very successful book sale!  Our carpet fundraiser if off to a good start.  Thanks to all of you that have already donated to the cause, we have enough to purchase 272 squares.  I know we can do this….please support your local library!
