Oscar’s Palladium
Anyone who looks into the history of Sargent will most likely hear about Oscar’s Palladium. This was the famous place that included a bar, supper club, dance hall and even roller skating. I played Oscar’s Palladium in Sargent NE many times circa 1966-69 with The Smoke Ring from Norfolk, NE. We charted hits in 1968-69 and played Dick Clark’s American Bandstand in 1969. I have hundreds of posters from them including one from Oscar’s ($2.00 cover charge)
