SCHOLASTIC BOOK FAIR

 The Spring book fair will be held from March 3-March 12, 2014.  We are excited to have new books for our students and patrons to purchase.  Each book bought will provide Scholastic Dollars which are used to buy new books for the library.  The book fair runs concurrent with Parent-Teacher conferences to enable students and their parents to look at the large variety of books offered at the fair.  The selection includes fiction and nonfiction titles for ages preschool through 6th grade with some adult and young adult titles.  The book fair is open during normal school hours and is open during parent-teacher conferences until 8:00 pm.  Teachers pick out books that parents and student may purchase for classrooms. There are lots of ways to support the library during the book fair.  Please feel free to come in and browse!

Come in early to get the best selection. We have gently used books. Children paperback books are .50 cents, and hard cover books are $1. Adult paperback books $1, hard cover books are $3. Proceeds will benefit your library! Sale now through January 6, 2014.

Christmas at the library was very fun! We had over 140 people show up to See Santa and Mrs. Claus along with participating the Four Corners Health Department health event. Children who won books: Logan Pospisil, Mackenzie Kuns, Alexa Stewart and Rylie Carter. Children who won posters: Alex carter, Jenna Potter, Alison Nekl, Natilie Martensen, Jaimee Paddock, Rowdy Truska, Jon Velazquez and Mauricio Velazquez. Adult book winners: Lori Klitz, Mary Paddock, Steve Stewart and Nancy Martensen.

Santa & Mrs. Claus are coming Wednesday, December 11th 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at The Shelby Community Library.  BRING YOUR CAMERA!  Sponsored by the Shelby Chamber of Commerce & The Shelby Community Library. FREE REFRESHMENTS & REGISTER TO WIN PRIZES.  If school is canceled because of bad weather, Santa will be here Dec. 18th.
