What do you like most about books?

“I love every single aspect of books, but my most favorite part will always have to be the stories contained inside of them. The stories and worlds that authors are able to create will never cease to captivate me. The stories are one of the best ways to travel to places you may not have been to or otherwise would not exist. It is often said that you live a thousand lives because you read, and I very much agree with that. You can live so many lives and learn so many things all just from reading these stories. As I grow older, my love for books just continues to grow with each book I read. I hope all who come to the library and read these stories are able to share the love that I have for books and grow in their own amazing way.”

Library Assistant (2021-Present)

What do you like most about books?

“Books can hold so many different points of view and different experiences. Whenever I want, I can experience the adventures of the characters of whatever I might be reading. Discover a secret garden with Mary Lennox, journey with Bilbo Baggins to a dwarven kingdom, or go on an international bike ride, as told by real-world cyclists. And when I need to return to the real world, as one often does, I merely mark my page and return in my own time. And I always end up learning something new.”
