The Ainsworth Public Library’s K-4th Summer Reading Program “Every Hero Has A Story” came to an end on July 1st with a Super Hero Picnic. After playing several games and enjoying our food, the prizes were awarded.
The top readers in the K-1st grade group included: Daniel Thornton with the most hours read with 21 hours and 35 minutes; Tatum Sorensen with the 2nd most hours read with 14 hours and 55 minutes; and Erick Hitchcock with the 3rd most hours read with a total 14 hours.
The top readers in the 2nd to 4th grade group included: Sydney Olinger with the most hours read with 39 hours and 35 minutes and Corbin Swanson with the 2nd most hours read with 35 hours and 25 minutes. Terrin and Tess Barthel tied for 3rd most hours read with a total of 23 hours and 15 minutes.
The Hero Program was a fun program to do with the kids. It is the Library’s hope that the students will continue to read the rest of the summer.
