For the month of September we’ll have Indiana Jones trivia, marshmallow pyramid building and an archaeological dig in the children’s section where each explorer can take home what they dig out of our site. You may also try to guess who our celebrity mummy is before we unmask them at the end of the month. Each week we’ll provide a clue and remove another gauzy layer.
And, of course, we have books that transport you to the past both close to home and to ancient Egypt. We have true-life stories from Nebraska’s past and fictional books, such as the librarian approved Amelia Peabody series by Elizabeth Peters.
