Thanks to the donations from the Arapahoe Area Foundation and our Friends of the Library we were able to kick-start our micro-film digitization project. We forged ahead and in the Spring of 2015 our library was awarded over $5,000 to complete the digitization of our collection. This grant was funded by the Kreutz Bennett Donor-Advised Fund, an affiliated fund of the Nebraska Community Foundation. The Fund provides support to public libraries located in Nebraska communities with populations under 3,000.
We’d also like to thank the Arapahoe alumni Class of 1950 for their donation of $1,950 in the summer of 2015. With these gifts and the grant funds, we’ve now completely digitized our newspaper collection from 1879-2015. To access this searchable collection in its entirety, please visit us at the library. We’re also happy to take newspaper search requests over the phone and will try our best to find the information you are looking for.
For personal use only, patrons may also access the years 1879-2000 at home!
