Share the fun of literacy through stories and an activity! Participants will engage with stories to enhance social and language development. For children ages 2 to 8 years old with a parent or caregiver.
In February, we are reading The Naked Mountaineer: Misadventures of an Alpine Traveler. Books will be available to check out starting January 30th. Book Club meets the second and fourth Thursdays of the month, at 7pm. On February 9th, we will discuss the first half of the book and on February 23rd, we will discuss the last half.
Come share the fun of literacy through stories, finger play, a song, and an activity! Participants will engage with stories and movement to enhance social and language development. Parent or caregiver will learn fun songs and finger play to do at home.
For children ages 2 to 5 years old with a parent or caregiver.
Teens Takeover the library on Wednesdays and Thursdays. Anyone, in grades 6th through 12th, is invited.
On Wednesdays, preteens and teens take over the computer lab from 4-5 pm. No one, older or younger, is allowed to use the computer lab.
Thursdays, preteens and teens take over the meeting room. Want to get away from your house? Looking for a place to be? Come to the library to play games, do crafts, watch a movie, get help with homework, and more; the space is yours to command! The meeting room is available from 4-5:30 pm.
Kids this is for you!
Listen to stories and learn about other good books to read. We may do crafts, listen to music, or have an activity. Saturday, January 21st, 2017 at 3pm
Targeted for ages 2-8.
Thursday, January 19th from 5:30-7:30pm. A variety of games will be available, including chess, checkers, backgammon, and cards. We will provide coffee, and you are welcome to bring snacks.

Saturday, January 28th from 2-4pm. Adults, teens, tweens and kids over 5 years old, are invited to create a painting. Sarah will lead us in creating a picture on canvas. There is a $5 deposit, to hold your spot. If you do not attend, you forfeit the $5 as a donation. There is a $10 fee if you do not have a Ashland Library card.
You may sign up at any time, via phone, Facebook, our calendar, or in person. We are only able to accommodate 36 individuals so payment of the deposit is required to hold your place in the event.
