Thank you for putting the Central City Courier on line. I finally have confirmation of g.g.grandfather’s death. Now I will be visiting your area to see what else I can find out about this family branch.

I think that the newspapers that were provided werent enough to span to my geneology. I was looking for 1970’s but you only have up to 1920’s.

      Hi Marcus,
We’re slowly digitizing microfilm to add to our online collection. The more recent newspapers are on microfilm at our facility (including ones from the 1970’s).

Do you know if the Silver Creek news papers will be digitalized?

      Hi Camy,
We are slowly having our newspapers digitized. It is a slow process (due to the cost of the process). We do hope to have the Silver Creek newspapers included in this process at some point in time.

Thanks very much! Would really enjoy having access to the Silver Creek papers. Thank you so much.

Good morning. I wanted to check back on the Silver Creek newspapers and what the cost is to do those reels? I might be able to get a few family members to make a small contribution toward getting those done. Sorry to be a pest I just can hardly wait for Silver Creek.

            Hi Camy,
The cost per reel of microfilm: to have it digitized, uploaded (so it can be hosted on the website), and for shipping/handling, currently runs $135 per reel of microfilm.
If you would like to make a donation for this project, we would gladly accept it.
Please contact me at the library for more information regarding how to do that (308-946-2512 our direct email is: cc.library.ne@gmail.com). Thank-you!

Will you have the 1973-1974 Marquette yearbooks on the web site anytime soon

    • centralcity

Hi Terry, We don’t have a copy of that one in our collection. That’s why it hasn’t been digitized and uploaded yet.
