𝐎𝐮𝐫 𝐭𝐰𝐨 𝐩𝐮𝐛𝐥𝐢𝐜 𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐨𝐦𝐬 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐛𝐞𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐞𝐝 𝐨𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐰𝐞𝐞𝐤.

All of the original (31+ year old) fixtures, floor tiles, stall dividers, and diaper changing stations will be replaced.

A bit of damage from a slow water leak in one of the restrooms will be addressed.

The plumbing for the toilets and the divider placements in both restrooms are being shifted a little bit, to comply with ADA requirements.

Protective wall tiles will be installed in both bathrooms.

The construction crew is very carefully separating the old cabinetry and old countertop from the beautiful oak surround of our circulation desk. This will make room for the new quartz countertop and new cabinets. It’s taking a bit of extra time to do this. However, it’s well worth it to be able to maintain the beautiful integrity of the original design. This piece complements very nicely with the oak canopy that hangs above it as well as with all of the beautiful woodwork featured throughout our building.

As part of this process, all of our beautiful (super-heavy) wooden bookshelves (and of course all of the books on them), will be picked up and moved NOT ONCE, but TWICE!

They’ll be moved from where they are now, to one side of each of the sections, and then back again.
