We Couldn’t Have Done it Without You!

Fairfield Public Library has been selected as one of the 140 libraries to be a recipient of the Nebraska Library Commission’s Broadband Technology Grant funded by the American Recovery & Reinvestment Act.  In addition to the $2,416,403 awarded to the Nebraska Library Commission from the US Department of Commerce, the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation will provide $1,251,786 in matching funds, bringing the total project budget to $3,668,189 for the next 3 years.

Fairfield Public Library will be receiving the following items: desktop & laptop computers, a printer (possibly color), a scanner, a computer projector, a WiFi router, a network switch, an ADA compliant workstation and computer with assistive technology, computer chairs, anti-virus software, Windows 7, and Microsoft Office software.

Thank you to everyone who wrote letters of support for our library!  With this opportunity we will be better equipped to meet the needs of our community.
