Hastings Memorial Library Summer Reading Challenge
Summer is here and that means it’s time for our annual Summer Reading Challenge where you get cool prizes just for reading! We have two challenges you can choose between.
Duck, Duck, Book!
Ages 18 mo. – Kindergarten (recommended)
- Read aloud with a grown-up for at least 1 hour each week.
- Record your reading on your Duck, Duck, Read! log.
- Bring it to the library each week and add a new duck to your collection!
- Logs can only be turned in once per week.
Reading Dragons
K – 6th graders (recommended)
Start your new favorite collection: Reading Dragon Cards.
- Receive 3 starter cards when you sign up and then earn a new dragon family set each week you read this summer.
- Read for all 8 weeks to collect all the dragon families.
- You can also get other goodies, free books, AND 3d printed dragons, all just for reading!
Joining our reading challenges is easy! Just stop by the library, pick up a log sheet, and start reading! Logs can be turned in starting June 2nd, and then each week after through August 2nd.
