Welcome to the Spotty Rain Campaign ~ Enhancing the Capacity for Libraries & Communities to Engage the Public in Drought Monitoring

We are excited to get our official CoCoRaHS Weather Station set up outside the library in April! This will be an interactive rain gauge that introduces volunteer drought monitoring, there will be a sticker on the gauge that will take you on a virtual experience to ‘make it rain’, fun videos, and more! CoCoRaHS volunteers record and share local precipitation and condition reports. This information can be used for farm management, community planning, emergency funding opportunities, and to better predict severe drought. More information will be available soon for this amazing opportunity coming to the Holdrege Area Public Library!
