Food for Fines Week continues

The Holdrege Area Public Library is having Food for Fines Week. Starting Monday, October 16th thru Saturday, October 21st library patrons with outstanding fines will have an opportunity to clear their record inexpensively while also helping stock the Phelps County Food Pantry. Each can or other item of food will be credited towards outstanding library fines at the rate of $1 per item.

Food donations may no be used towards fees for lost or damaged materials, only toward fines for materials returned to the library in good condition. Can donations are being accepted at the library main desk. All library patrons–even those without overdue fines–are encouraged to bring in food to help stock the Pantry. Expired food items or home-canned goods will not be accepted.
