After School Program Registration

The Morrill Public Library will be having our After school Program for the Morrill Elementary School Students as well as the Homeschool Students Registration will begin August 20th and End August 31st. If your child is in 1st-3rd Grade they will be sent home a forum please fill it out and bring it to the library, if we are not open you can always place it in the drop box located behind the library. If you have any questions please call Sarah at 308-247-2611

Summer Reading Wrap up party !!

 

Well Summer reading 2018 Libraries Rock has come to an end, we are sad to see it go but excited for next year i know it will be “out of this world”. We had a wonderful turn out for summer reading and lots of fun thank you to all who helped we really appreciate you. This year for Libraries Rock we had 52 Children, 9 Teens, and 11 Adults who participated and i could not be prouder of all of you ya’ll did a fantastic job!

For our adults and teens we played bingo, for every bingo card they got a ticket to put in the bucket of the basket they wanted we drew names on July 26th….

For the Children’s Program we had 4 Top Super readers to be a super reader you had to read over 2000 Pages our top 4 readers were

  1. Ella who read 17,925 pages

  2. Zoe who read 6500 pages

  3. Hayden who read 6000 pages

  4. Cecila who read 5000 pages

Summer Reading Wrap-up Party

Friday July 27th we will be having theĀ  wrap-up party for summer reading in the Morrill Park at 2pm if it is raining we will have the party in the Library!!

The Library will Close at 12:30 PM on Friday July 27th for the party!!

Letters about Literature
A great story and the opportunity to tell an author about how a book made a difference in their own life
Letter Writing Clinic is July 18th at 2-3:30pm and July 25th from 2-3:30
Level I for young readers in grades 4-6
Level II for young adult readers in grades 7-8
Level III for readers in grades 9-12
we will have our own cash prizes, however the National winner in each competition level will receive a $1000.00 cash award National Honor winners in each level will receive a $200 cash award!
